Garden Update

Here's some of the things we've just picked from the garden:
From left to right: banana peppers, cilantro, carrots, radishes, chives and broccoli.  These are all wrapped up and ready to go up to my brother.  He loves veggies and I know when I give him this it will be eaten up quickly.

Here's most of the 17 tomato plants we have-they kind of look like huge weeds, but they are doing well, and we're seeing signs of many tomatoes in the future!
Here's the beans, lettuce, cabbage, celery, and peppers.
Radish, more lettuce, carrots, basil, chives, potatoes and peas in the way back.
Blackberries, not from our backyard, but nearby Bodacious Berries in Greenbluff.  Thanks to my in-laws for picking all these!  We plan to make jam, juice concentrate and pies and freeze some for cobblers and smoothies.

  2. Your garden looks so great! I love tomatoes so I also planted many of them and just yesterday I harvested 3 baskets of tomatoes and I already made some salsa out of it. I sell it to my neighbors and I realize that my garden can give me money just by planting more crops. The blackberries look so delicious. I cant wait for your next post to see what will happen to your blackberries.

  3. Jam made of black berries is delicious. I only have strawberries here and I am planning some jam too. Your harvest looks great especially the banana peppers. I can’t wait for my veggies to harvest for this coming week.

  4. It's getting busy with our tomatoes coming on! A lot of the blackberries were frozen (for smoothies) and some made into jam. We are planning on a larger garden for next year since it's a two generation family garden, we have lots of hands to help!
